System Requirements

Prerequisites

• Ollama installed on capable hardware
• The Ollama server is accessible (default: http://localhost:11434)
• Visit Ollama's official site for installation

Note: Make sure your firewall settings allow Ollama server connections.

Account Setup

Create an Account

Visit articulatellm.com and click "Sign Up" to create your account. You can use your email or sign in with:

• GitHub

Download the Desktop App

Once your account is created, download the Articulate LLM Desktop app for your platform:

Important: Always download from our official website to ensure security.

Login to the App

⏱️ Estimated time: 1 minute

1. Open the Articulate LLM Desktop app
2. Click "Login"
3. You'll be redirected to your web browser to authenticate
4. Once authenticated, you'll be redirected to the app and logged in automatically

Note: If the browser doesn't open automatically, check your pop-up blocker settings.

Configure Your Bot

Choose Your Inference Provider

1. Select "Ollama" from providers list
2. Add a host url if it differs from the default configuration
3. Click "Retrieve Models" to test connectivity
4. Select a 'default' model to be used for app processes
5. Click 'Create Endpoint' to move to the next step Set up your bot

Tip: Ollama provides the best performance for local deployments.

Set Up Your Bot

On the bot configuration page:

1. Enter a name for your bot (e.g., "My Assistant")
2. Choose a model from the available options
3. (Optional) Add a system prompt to define your bot's behavior
4. Click "Create" to finish setup

Pro Tip: Use system prompts to specialize your bot for specific tasks.
